Oswego entrepreneur ‘steps up’ to fight cancer, help local family

Pedestrian struck by vehicle; airlifted to hospital

UPDATE 8 PM:  the investigation determined that a 20-year-old man, identified as Jerimiah B. Johnston, of Oswego, was riding a skateboard in an easterly direction on West Bridge Street, when he entered the roadway and struck a 2005 Buick minivan travelling south on West Second Street, driven by 38-year-old Tracey J. Faul and occupied by five children.

At about 4:40 p.m. today (April 3), emergency crews responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident near the intersection of West Second and Bridge streets.

Oswego Police Search For Robbery Suspect

At about 2 p.m. today (April 3), Oswego Police were dispatched to the Rise and Shine Convenience store 126 East Oneida Street in the city of Oswego for a reported robbery. Preliminary investigating determined that a white male, described to be in his teens, allegedly stole a purse from a customer at the store and allegedly stated that he possessed a gun.

Gov. Cuomo Visits Oswego To Sign State Budget

The governor outlines his visions for a better New York StateThe governor also spoke about his plans to assist families, revitalize the economy and enhance education. The budget will provide nearly $800 million in tax relief for businesses over the next three years, he added.
