The number of districts will remain the same, just their shapes will change. Legislator Amy Tresidder’s district (16), for example, would cover both sides of the river in Oswego.
On August 31 and September 1, the Oswego City Police Department deployed additional personnel to address quality of life concerns in residential neighborhoods. This detail consisted of uniformed and plain clothes personnel. As a result of this effort, several arrests were made.
UPDATE: Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has directed that flags on state government buildings be flown at half-staff on Friday in honor of Kyle Rookey.
Rookey, of Oswego, died Sunday in Afghanistan. He is being remembered for his smile and laughter and for his desire to help everybody.
Crews knocked the fire down within minutes containing fire damage to the room of origin and upstairs bathroom with some smoke and water damage to other areas of the house.
There were no injuries.
The investigation determined that he subjected two girls under the age of 11 to inappropriate sexual contact. Additionally, he is alleged to have secretly videotaped the same minors utilizing his cellular phone, while they were changing clothing and showering.
Things will clear up a bit by Wednesday afternoon
A trooper observed an ATV northbound on County Route 7 and attempted to pull it over. However, the ATV failed to comply and continued ending up on Rathburn Road, according to police. A short time later, the ATV and the driver were located hiding behind a house on Rathburn Road.
