Ammonia leaked from a pipe at the former Birds-Eye plant in Fulton Thursday night, forcing the evacuation of homes in the area. The city opened its community room as a shelter, and two people took the city up on its offer.
UPDATE: A release of an undermined amount of ammonia from the closed Fulton Birdseye plant was contained and isolated by emergency personnel last night, Aug. 30, while a precautionary evacuation of several nearby residents took place..
Fire broke out at about 7:47 a.m. today (Aug. 30) in the industrial plant where all of the 22 employees inside evacuated safely.
Deputies say that he had sexual intercourse with the victim being less than 17 years old in June and July of this year in New Haven. He was also charged in connection with a 2011 incident.

Subsequent to a traffic stop and investigation at the scene, Todd M. Foster 48, of Fulton, the driver and only occupant, was arrested for DWI. Computer checks revealed that Foster was involved in a motor vehicle accident on August 27, in the town of Geddes where he was arrested for DWAI – Drugs.
