At this week’s meeting, the Common Council, with little fanfare, approved a zone change for property located in the Second Ward at 81 E. Fourth St. from an R-3 Residential District to a B-2 Central Business District. They also sowed the seeds for a community garden project.
Important Harborfest Food Vendor Dates, New Facebook ‘chat sessions’ Announced
As anticipation starts to build for the 25th annual Harborfest event this summer in Oswego some upcoming dates need to be passed along for website and facebook followers of the popular Central New York attraction. For returning and new food vendors, your application deadline is April 5. For facebook followers of Harborfest, a new “chat session” will be opened up on Friday’s from noon to 1 p.m. starting on Friday March 23.

Hotel Zone Change Request Approved By Council In Re-Vote
The Common Council voted 4-3 Monday night to allow a zone change for 134 and 140 E. 13th St., from R-3 Residential to B-1 Neighborhood Business. Two weeks ago, the council voted 4-3 against the change. The difference this week was a change of heart by the Fifth Ward councilor.

All-Night Parking Ban Lifted In Fulton
Due to the mild weather, the City of Fulton is lifting the all-night parking ban on city streets and parking lots effective immediately. The ban would typically have ended on April 1.
