Report: New York State Tobacco Funds ‘Up In Smoke’
New report finds only four cents of every dollar New York raises from tobacco helps smokers quit or keeps kids from smoking. Still, the Tobacco Free Network of Oswego County is doing pretty well with the small amount of money they have, the program coordinator said. With all the cuts and lack of funding, it is getting harder, she noted.

The Watertown businessman and registered Republican filed paperwork today with the Federal Elections Commission to become a candidate for Congress, where he will represent northern and Central New York’s interests in Washington.

CCC Expands its Expansion: More Students Means Even More Classrooms
Cayuga Community College’s new Fulton home is going to be bigger than first thought.
College trustees tonight are expected to approve a plan to add another 10,000 square feet of classroom space to the new facility. Cayuga County legislators will take up the plan next week.
