Planning Board Gets First Look at Next Home of Cayuga Community College
Cayuga Community College has a plan to turn 50,000 square feet of grocery store space into 80,000 square feet of learning space.
Even as the college’s plan won approval Monday night from the Fulton Planning Commission, college officials indicated that planners would be seeing more plans eventually as the school grows quickly in its new home.
Striking members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 97 have set up a picket line on County Route 1 at the intersection of Lakeview Road. At 12:01 a.m. today (July 9), the workers from Nine Mile Point Unit I and Unit II went on strike. Their jobs are now being done by Constellation Energy Nuclear Group managers.
The Springboard Mural Project has launched another season of bringing some color to Oswego’s Riverwalk West. Nearly a dozen young artists are collaborating on close to 20 new murals along the walkway. The mural project is a youth-focused initiative, with the design concept and implementation directed by local young people with the support of the Springboard Mural Committee.
