Fulton’s rainfall since the first of the year climbed to 17.92 inches over the weekend. However, it actually slipped to number two all time – behind 1990, which had 18.75 inches as of May 22.

Cayuga Community College Celebrates its 57th Annual Commencement Ceremony
With both fists pumping the air and his fellow graduates on their feet cheering, 77-year-old John Cullen of Auburn walked across the stage to receive an associate’s degree during the 57th Annual Cayuga Community College Commencement proceedings. He was the oldest of the 584-member Class of 2011 who was recognized during the May 22 ceremony.

Second Relaxation, Reflection and Writing Workshop Planned
That’s write. They’re doing it again. A cluster of writers has scheduled a workshop at Camp Hollis on the Lake Ontario’s shore in Oswego Town for June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted and facilitated by Mary Slimmer, Jim Farfaglia and June MacArthur, the guest writer. The trio presented a well-received writers’ workshop at the camp last fall which prompted them to conduct another this spring.
Man Flown to Hospital after Car/Motorcycle Accident in Minetto
Police say a car crossed the center line of Route 48 Friday afternoon and slammed into a motorcycle. The car ended up in the Oswego River. The driver and a passenger swam safely to dry land. But the driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to a Syracuse hospital.
