The Fulton Planning Commission meets Monday night at 7:00 p.m. to take up one item.
It’s a proposal to convert a restaurant at 397 W. First St. S. into a dog grooming business.
At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council will consider a proposal to transform a city ice rink into a squared circle. Squared Circle Wrestling is a New York-based pro wrestling company that runs shows in different markets in New York State.

In preparation for the upcoming 186th consecutive navigation season on the New York State Canal System and in recognition of Earth Day 2011, the New York State Canal Corporation in partnership with the Parks and Trails NY, has designated April 15-17 for the sixth annual “Canal Clean Sweep.”

In 2010, The Food Bank of CNY reported it provided more than 7.8 million meals to local residents residing in 11 counties in Central and Northern New York. About 100 Union and Confederate reenactors with up to 16 cannon will converge at the fort over the weekend to conduct living history and artillery firing demonstrations. The first cannon will go off at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday as it did on April 12, 1861, starting the original Battle of Fort Sumter.

On March 20, multiple reports were received by the Fulton Police Department in reference to shots fired in the city. On Thursday (April 7), Timothy C. Lashomb was arrested and charged for his involvement in these shootings.
Joyce Malone had her sentencing postponed once again. In Oswego County Court this morning (April 8), her attorney Jim Eby, told Oswego County Court Judge Walt Hafner that his client had been hospitalized on Monday. She is hooked up to IVs in Oswego Hospital, he said.
