Car Crash In Downtown Oswego Damages Buildings
The driver of a pickup truck reportedly struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle which struck several street signs and came to rest in the intersection of West Bridge Street / West Second streets. The initial vehicle continued upon the north curb and sidewalk of West Bridge Street where it struck the building.

Horse-Drawn Wagon Owner Wants a Permit to Work Throughout Fulton
Les Holmes said he has used his wagon to give rides around the city to senior citizens and to those attending fundraisers at the Polish Home. He thinks it would be a good addition to the Farmer’s Market downtown, to the music events taking place at the downtown gazebo in the summer, and to loop around the War Memorial/Recreation Park complex for events such as Memorial Day Salute.

Oswego District Redistricting Plan To Start This Fall
The Oswego City School District will put a plan into motion this fall to balance elementary class sizes and save money on the process. Elementary school redistricting is well under way, district officials said Thursday afternoon. Students who live on the fringes of attendance and transportation zones will be moved to new schools, the superintendent explained.

Reading Council To Host Dear Jo Author
Dear Jo is a critically acclaimed novel about a girl whose best friend is abducted by an online predator. The award-winning author Christina Kilbourne will give a presentation June 7 at the Tavern on the Lock. Christina wrote the first draft of Dear Jo at a novel writing marathon to raise money for adult literacy.
