Today inside G. Ray Bodley High, student journalists show us what Homecoming celebrations looked like. Also, it’s Senior Day for varsity girls soccer, a fundraiser tonight at Fajita Grill for the Class of 2011, and a poll on a good theme for the next school dance.
They used to be the “Red Raiders” and their mascot was a proud Native American in an Iroquois headband.
Now, the district’s only logo is the red “F” you see at left. And they’re just the “Raiders” these days. (Or, at least, that’s what they’re supposed to be called.)
But soon, the district may have a new mascot and logo, thanks to a school marketing class project.
Mimi’s Drive-In won the 10th annual Trinity Catholic School Corporate Spelling Bee. The friendly competition helps support Oswego County’s only Catholic school. Eleven three-member teams took part in the fund-raiser, which featured some of the hardest words in its history.
They want the streets clear for snow plowing from Nov. 1 to April 1.

They’ve got spirit, yes they do. The most spirited Raiders of Spirit Week were honored at Thursday’s pep rally and a King and Queen were crowned. Then, the Raider football team went out and crowned J-D. Also, Fulton’s varsity soccer team beats a Fowler team they’d lost to earlier in the year.
The Port of Oswego could become home to the first biodiesel fueling stations on the Great Lakes, if a plan being advanced by US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand succeeds.
County school districts were scheduled to receive more than $220 million to operate their schools for the 2009-2010 year. If the Legislature adopts Paterson’s proposals, they will instead receive $214.5 million.
