Oswego Schools Set Emergency Closing And Delay Procedures
As in the past a variety of communication venues will be used in the event that school is closed or delayed. The district desires to make a decision to close or delay by 5:30 a.m. and as always this message will be delivered through the numerous communications outlets. This year the district communication between school and home has been enhanced with the addition of School Messenger.

Oswego School Board Updated On BOCES Proposal
The proposed project includes renovation of approximately 196,000 existing square feet as well as adding approximately 70,000 square feet of new space. The new space essentially replaces several buildings that are no longer suitable for use, according to Dr. Joseph Camerino, BOCES district superintendent.

A voting rights activist’s analysis of state data shows that counties across New York have removed 1.6 million people from the active voting rolls, on the eve of national elections. In the North Country, more than 33,000 voters have been taken off the active rolls.

Fulton Drinking Water Passes First Test; Ban Could Be Lifted Tomorrow
The city of Fulton reports that tests of municipal water at 16 locations found no contamination from bacteria. The order to boil water for cooking or drinking remains in effect, however, for at least one more day.

Fulton Waiting For Water Sample Results
Fulton Water Works Superintendent John Florek continues to collect water samples around the city today while he waits for the results of samples collected Monday. Florek says he suspects that test results will show that a sample taken from a small Fulton car dealership that tested positive for E. coli bacteria was an isolated incident. If that is confirmed, Florek said that a boil water advisory that has been in place since Saturday could be lifted by Wednesday afternoon.

Committee Revisits Fire Department’s Vehicle Request
The Administrative Services Committee recommends approving the sale of an old OFD vehicle. If there is enough funds to purchase a new vehicle after that, the council will consider that possibility in the future.
