UPDATE – Woman’s Body Discovered — No Suspicious Activity Suspected

UPDATE: Preliminary investigations do not lead us to believe there was any suspicious activity, Police Chief Tory DeCaire said. But, with the conditions that we faced and the location of the body, we are following all of the necessary steps to confirm this, he added.At approximately 9:51 a.m. today, July 9, the Oswego City Police Department responded to a call of a deceased female in the lake off of Mercer Street between East Ninth Street and East 10th Street in the city of Oswego. Oswego Police are investigating the incident.

Federal Funds Flow Into New Haven

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today (July 3) announced $1,400,000 in federal funding for the town of New Haven.
