Interactive ‘Drive Safe, Live Safe’ To Promote Sobriety Behind Wheel
SUNY Oswego’s University Police will host the fourth annual “Drive Safe, Live Safe” program at 6 p.m. March 27, in Marano Campus Center arena, a free public event featuring keynote speaker Marianne Angelillo. “Drive Safe, Live Safe,” for all drivers but especially geared toward those ages 17 to 25, promotes responsible driving to prevent alcohol- and drug-related incidents.

NRC Approves License Transfer of FitzPatrick Nuclear Plant
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the transfer of the operating license of the FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant from Entergy Nuclear Operations to Exelon Generation Co. “I applaud the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for approving the transfer of the FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant,” Assemblyman Will Barclay said today.

Fulton School District Boasts 7% Increase in Graduation Rate
A presentation to the Board of Education surrounding graduation rates within Fulton City School District shows a 7% increase from last school year. Of the cohort of students that entered the high school in the year 2012, 76% of FCSD students graduated in June 2016 with a Local, Regents or Regents with Advanced Distinction diploma after four years.

FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant Refueled, Ready For Continued Operation
Operators returned Entergy Corp.’s FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant to full power operation today following a refueling and maintenance outage that began on January 14. During the outage, more than 1,600 workers replaced about one-third of the reactor’s fuel and upgraded equipment, readying the plant for continued safe and reliable operation.
