Ferial Govashiri, personal aide to former President Barack Obama, will make the keynote presentation for the SUNY Oswego Student Leadership Conference at 7:30 p.m. March 3, in the Marano Campus Center auditorium. Her talk is free and open to the public.

The Children’s Museum of Oswego is pleased to announce that it has received a $30,000 gift from Oswego Family Dentistry, the office of Dr. Kristin Nylen for the Build, Play, Grow Campaign. The gift will be used for continued development of permanent exhibits at the museum.

State Police in Pulaski arrested Gary A. Bubis Jr., 36, from Pulaski, for Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd degree, a class “A” misdemeanor; Criminal Mischief 4th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor; Criminal Obstruction of breathing, a class “A” misdemeanor and Harassment 2nd degree, a violation.

On Tuesday, State Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 690 in Lysander for operating with a suspended registration. Troopers interviewed the operator, Ronald Bacon, and determined he allegedly possessed a revoked license, and the vehicle he was driving was not insured.

The Upstate Energy Jobs Coalition released the following statement in response to a study released by Alliance for a Green Economy. For more than a year now, we have heard opposition groups voice disapproval of the Clean Energy Standard’s nuclear provision. The study released Monday (Feb. 13) is no different and, more importantly, unsubstantiated.
