Clean Energy Standard is Good Public Policy

In August, the NYS Public Service Commission adopted the Clean Energy Standard which included, among other things, subsidies for the upstate nuclear plants. Since that time, the anti-nuclear crowd has ramped up their criticism of the PSC’s forward-thinking solution and now there is an effort to get the Clean Energy Standard overturned. The criticism is baffling, particularly from so-called environmentalists considering that nuclear power is clean and generates zero carbon emissions 24/7.

I agree with the fact that the rates have to be raised to cover the increased tipping fees imposed by the county.

Tobacco-Free Policies for Worksite Grounds

Improving a company’s overall public image can begin with adopting a tobacco-free policy for worksite grounds. Growing evidence suggests that secondhand smoke can be just as harmful outdoors as it is indoors. Creating a tobacco-free policy will protect the health of both employees and visitors, in addition to reducing tobacco litter.

East Side Study Results Are In

The results from the survey to dissolve the city of Fulton are in from the east side of Fulton. Let me make this very clear that this was an Idea for a solution to the fiscal problems facing the city of Fulton. All ideas must be researched before you can rule them as not being the solution to a given problem. There were several others ideas and they also have been researched and the results were not in Fulton’s favor.
