Millard Hawk Students Donate to Oswego Hospital Pediatric Department

Second graders in Deborah Morgan’s class at Millard Hawk Elementary School in Central Square recently made pediatric comfort bags and then donated them to Oswego Hospital’s pediatric department. The students also made blankets and other items for young hospital patients. Pictured are the students. Standing in the back are Teacher Deborah Morgan, Candice McIntyre, RN; Jamie Traux, RN; and Carrie Kangah, clinical manager of Oswego Hospital’s third floor which includes the pediatric department. Oswego Hospital pediatric patients will have use of comfort bags and other items assembled by students in Deborah Morgan’s second grade class at Millard Hawk Elementary School as part of their character education program.

Oswego Health Starts Breast Cancer Support Group

Oswego Health is starting a breast cancer support group that will be held the second Friday of each month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the lower level conference room of the Oswego Health Services Center, which is adjacent to Oswego Hospital.

Members of the Troop made more than 40 cards that they delivered to residents on the second floor of the skilled nursing facility.
