Brewerton and Fulton speedways’ exciting 2018 schedules are taking shape with major events at both speedways that will give race fans high-speed racing excitement in must-see events. The 33rd annual Outlaw 200 Weekend, one of the crown jewels in all of modified racing, will be held at Fulton Speedway on September 28 and 29.

The long anticipated list of rules changes for Oswego Speedway’s Small Block Supermodified division was revealed to race teams on Friday night with one big change included; which is the addition of a voluntary 602 crate engine program for 2018 which will be mandatory for the 2019 season.

The No. 4/4 Oswego State men’s ice hockey team was nearly untouchable for 60 minutes in a 5-2 victory at Plattsburgh on Saturday night at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. With the triumph, the Lakers stay perfect in league play at 6-0-1 and move to 8-1-1 overall while the Cardinals drop to 5-7-0, 3-6-0.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team defeated SUNYAC foe Fredonia, 64-48, on the road on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Lakers improve to an even 4-4 this season and 3-1 in conference action, while Fredonia falls to 2-8 overall and 0-4 in SUNYAC play.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team erased a 10-point, halftime deficit for a 92-83 win at Buffalo State on Friday night behind senior Jamir Ferebee’s 35 points and seven assists. With the win, the Lakers improve to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the SUNYAC while Buffalo State drops to 4-3, 1-2.

On Saturday, the Oswego Sub Shop Peewees hosted Valley and emerged victorious with a 6-3 final score. On Sunday, they overpowered Corning, 9-1.

On Tuesday night, the OHS Girls Hockey team traveled to Skaneateles to take on the defending Section III and State Champion Lakers. The Bucs jumped out to a great start, scoring just 18 seconds into the contest.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team defeated Oneonta by a score of 47-41 on Tuesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the win, Oswego improves to 2-4 (1-1 SUNYAC) while Oneonta falls to 4-3 (1-2).

The Oswego State women’s basketball team fell to Oneonta by a score of 46-38 on Tuesday night at the Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the loss, Oswego drops to 2-6 (0-2 SUNYAC) on the season while Oneonta goes to 6-2 (2-1 SUNYAC).
