The No. 4/7 Oswego State men’s ice hockey team encountered its first loss of the year 4-2 at Cortland on Friday night. With the defeat, Oswego is now 1-1-1 overall and in SUNYAC action while the Red Dragons improve to that same mark.

The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3-2 to Castleton University at the Marano Campus Center Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers move 1-1 on the young season. Castleton improves to 1-0.
There was no happy ending at the end of Section 3’s Yellow Brick Road for the Fulton boy’s soccer team on Saturday when the Raiders finished on the sad side of the Class A championship final. Instead Fowler enjoyed its day in Oz creator L. Frank Baum’s Chittenango with a 2-1 victory to end Fulton’s season at 14-5-1.
