Men’s Ice Hockey Enters Season at 5/6

The Oswego State women’s hockey team will enter the 2015-16 season in the receiving votes section of the D3hockey.com preseason poll. Oswego earned eight votes, placing them just outside the site’s weekly Top 10 poll at No. 11.
No less than a dozen Oswego Speedway partners from 2015 have already renewed their partnerships for 2016 in anticipation of the Speedway’s 66th annual schedule reveal.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team received 54 votes in the D3hoops.com preseason Top 25 poll, which was released on Oct. 22. Oswego’s tallies has it sitting in the ‘others receiving votes’ section, the 54 nods making the Lakers the No. 35 team in the country entering the season.
The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team fell 6-3 in an exhibition game to the Central Canadian Hockey League Graduate All-Stars Saturday night (Oct. 24) at the Marano Campus Center Arena.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team fell 4-2 to the Barrie Jr. Sharks in an exhibition game played at the Marano Campus Center Arena on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24). The Lakers enter this year coming off of a season where they went 19-7-1, setting the program record for victories in a season.
The Department of Parks and Recreation will be accepting rosters for the City Co-Ed Adult Volleyball League until November 6 at 2:30 p.m.
Due to a wet weather forecast, which calls for potential snow and freezing conditions, Oswego Kartway officials have postponed this Saturday’s Fall Frenzy 200 Championships to a spring date to be determined. “Above all else it is our goal at Oswego Kartway to provide a fun and enjoyable experience, top to bottom,” said Kartway promoter Dan Kapuscinski.
