Just days after the announcement that Bobby Santos III would drive the Graham Racing/LFR Chassis Modified in this weekend’s Race of Champions Richie Evans Memorial at Oswego Speedway, news came out this morning that Santos would also drive the Graham Racing No. 91 Novelis Supermodified in the Speedway’s season opening 50-lap main event.
For the first time in three years, Oswego Kartway’s opening event went off uninterrupted, and nearly 100 karting entries showed for the first race of the season last Friday. One of the most exciting events of the night was the Sr. Green Clone main; featuring drivers aged 7-9 years old.
Oswego Speedway’s 65th consecutive season of racing will take the green flag Saturday night in a big way with the season openers for the Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers as well as the 75-lap Race of Champions Modified Richie Evans Memorial.

Everyone in attendance Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway walked away seeing one of the best and most wild Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modified features they had ever seen. Not that often when the announcer says “How did you like that one?” does the crowd give a standing ovation like the fans did.

Under beautiful blue skies, over 40 racecars took to Oswego Speedway for its annual open practice session on Saturday afternoon with Dave Danzer and Mike Bond leading the charge in the Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions. A total of 13 different Novelis Supermodified drivers were on hand with 15 different machines on site, including three racers for seven-time track champion Otto Sitterly.
The Oswego Boxing Club is now home of a champion. Thomas Nitzke Jr. from OBC recently competed in the Golden Gloves Championship. He won the 123-pound class at the Rochester Fight Factory.
When Oswego Speedway goes green flag racing on May 9 as a part of the 65th annual season opener presented by Planet Fitness and Mitchell’s Speedway Press, the Speedway’s weekly contingency program will go into effect giving racers something extra to race for on each night of the upcoming season.
When the 2015 Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super season takes the green flag on May 9 at Oswego Speedway, Barry Kingsley’s Team Tapout No. 91 machine will sport the Greene’s Ale House logo.
