The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team scored the game’s final two goals to defeat visiting Hamilton College 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon at the Marano Campus Center Arena. With the victory, Oswego goes to 5-2-0 overall on the year.

When Oswego Speedway opens the ‘Steel Palace’ gates for its 65th season of racing on May 9 of 2015, Planet Fitness of Oswego will present the blockbuster night of racing featuring the Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS, and the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour. Planet Fitness joined the Speedway’s team of partners in 2014, presenting the Novelis Supermodified Kickoff.

The nationally-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team tied 4-4 in overtime for the second straight day, this time against Utica College in The Toyota Frozen Dome Classic on Saturday afternoon at Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome. Oswego and Utica brought 7,047 spectators into the Dome, setting a new NCAA Division III attendance mark for a men’s ice hockey contest.

The Oswego State women’s hockey team shutout the Potsdam Bears for the second straight day in a 3-0 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Marano Campus Center Arena during the program’s alumni weekend. With the win, Oswego is now 4-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in ECAC West action.

Oswego Speedway Novelis Supermodified car builder Joe Hawksby Jr. of Minetto was recently featured in the car builder’s edition of New Jersey based racing trade, Area Auto Racing News. Hawksby Jr., a former Novelis Supermodified driver and the leading Supermodified manufacturer and fabricator at Oswego since 2005, is the son of longtime Supermodified driver Joe Hawksby Sr.

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team played to a 4-4 overtime tie with visiting Brockport on Friday night at the Marano Campus Center Arena. With the tie, the nationally-ranked Lakers move to 5-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in SUNYAC action.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team handed the visiting St. Lawrence University Saints a 62-58 loss on Friday evening at Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the win, Oswego collects its second-straight victory on the season and sits above .500 at 2-1.
