Race of Champions Weekend Features 100-lap Novelis Supermodified Main
The event, which will count toward the year-long Supermodified ‘Road to the Championship’ at the ‘Steel Palace’, will run a total of 100 green flag laps and will be split into two 50-lap segments.
Rain, Rain, Stay Away – Oswego Kartway Tries Again Friday Night
In what has been a dismal weather season, Oswego Kartway has lost two consecutive and five total events to rain so far in the 2013 season. With a point season that began back on May 3, the Kartway has completed just four shows since that time, with another on tap this Friday.
63rd edition of the Sunoco Race of Champions modified to pay a minimum of $15,000 to win
Asphalt Modified teams are gearing up for the 63rd consecutive running of the Sunoco Race of Champions at Oswego Speedway on July 20. The Modified race winner will earn a minimum of $15,000 with more than $17,000 in bonus lap money also up for grabs. The 63rd Sunoco Race of Champions Weekend will take place July 19 and 20.
Capt. Chad’s Second Annual All Women’s Fishing Tournament a Huge Success
More than 70 fun-loving females from throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states gathered recently for a memorable and charitable fishing tournament. Capt. Chad’s annual All Women’s Fishing Tournament ran from June 26 to 30. The event, now in its 14th year, is run by Capt. Chad Gehrig, skipper of the Oswego-based Son of a Gun charter service.
Summer Racing Fun Continues This Saturday At Fulton Speedway
On the race card will be the 800 horsepower Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, Four Cylinder Stocks and Mod Lites. For the kids, the Home Depot will be in the midway with their fun activities “Home Depot Kids Work Shop.”
Old Timer’s Reunion Opens Oswego Speedway’s ‘King of Wings’ Saturday Morning
In what has become a ‘King of Wings’ tradition, the Old Timer’s Reunion yearly brings back friends, fans, and drivers of Oswego Speedway’s past to the Speedway for a morning of great times and memories. A number of restored racecars, racing magazines and newspapers, photos, door prizes, and raffles will be available at the reunion.

A huge holiday crowd with fireworks on the track and in the sky saw the fourth of July holiday weekend end with a bang at the Fulton Speedway Saturday night. On the track, the two big divisions, the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds and the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints saw their feature and A-Main come down to last lap, tight finishes, with Jim Witko Jr. and Bryan Howland standing in victory lane.
