The Fulton YMCA Speed Demons traveled to Oneonta recently to swim against the Oneonta Orcas. During the meet, several Fulton swimmers were recognized as swimmers of the week.

Lady Bucs varsity and jayvee basketball squads gained recent wins while the boys varsity five got edged out in its most recent game, Lady Bucs indoor team excelled and the wrestlers battled in a close one while the varsity bowling team lost its first match in a long time.

With heralded drivers returning behind the wheel and two brand new racecars in the line-up, the race was wide open for the $2,200 pay day and title of Classic champion.

Track management at the Brewerton and Fulton speedways are pleased to announce that Team USA (TUSA) chassis, body and engine specifications will be used to govern Mod Lite competition at each track in 2013.

The Oswego High bowling team kept the season rolling along while the boys basketball and girls hockey team  gave it a good battle before falling to quality opponents.

Junior Lauren Nunziato netted a career-high 21 points in 15 minutes of action to lead the Oswego State women’s basketball team (8-0, 3-0 SUNYAC) to its eighth straight win, keeping the Lakers undefeated in a 73-44 win over Cazenovia on Friday night.

Sean Michele (Sr., East Rochester, N.Y.) scored a season-high 17 points to lead the Oswego State men’s basketball team (7-1, 2-1 SUNYAC) to a 73-57 win over Cazenovia (3-6) on Friday night.

OHS Swimmers, basketball, hockey and volleyball were just some of the winning teams in recent sports action. However, the winter season is in full swing and every athletic squad is having some sort of success.
