Saturday night’s racing at Oswego Speedway will have a little extra in store with the addition of the Tobais Speed STR series as a part of C’s Beverage-Days Inn/Travelodge Night at the ‘Steel Palace.’

We gave it our best shot but it’s raining at the Brewerton Speedway at 4:55 we have cancelled for tonight August 10, track officials said.

The 1988 Speedway season proved to be a banner year for the driver of the Miller American No. 02.  Bellinger went on to narrowly claim his only Oswego Speedway track championship in ’88, by just 25 points over Mike Ordway, with three regular season feature wins.

With C’s Beverage-Days Inn/Travelodge Night at Oswego Speedway just two days away, the countdown to the Budweiser International Classic is down to 25.  Today, we look back at the second International Classic win for Canadian champion Warren Coniam in 1987.

Budweiser International Classic Weekend is now set at Oswego Speedway.  The 602 Crate Dirt Sportsman division will fill the recently vacant slot on the Friday, August 31st rundown for International Classic Weekend with the $1,500 to win Sportsman “Sizzler” 30.

Even the rosiest prognosticators weren’t prepared  for what the tiniest Great Lake has been dishing out lately; causing some to predict this year will be one for the record books.

With the countdown to Budweiser International Classic Weekend continuing, today we look back on the 1985 edition of the greatest Supermodified race in the world.  In 1983, chants of “Eddie B in ‘83” echoed through the ‘Steel Palace’, and just two years later Bellinger was right back at it.
