Oswego Girls Close Out Solid Cross Country Season
The Oswego girl’s cross country team, closed out its successful 2008 dual meet season Wednesday, losing to the strong visiting Lady Redhawks of Central Square, by the score of 21-39. With the loss, Oswego finishes with a fine league record of 3-3, in a very competitive CNYCL American conference.

Lady Bucs Volleyball Plays Well, Wins Silver Bracket
Oswego traveled to the Southern Tier and after splitting sets all day won the Silver Medal play-off bracket over Windsor 25-11. Middle hitter Vanessa Sheffield (29 kills, 2 aces, 7 pt.blks.) was named to the All Tournament team for her play on the day.

Brush Rifles: Fact or Myth
For many years the debate has raged about which caliber is best in the brush. Equally debated is if any caliber is good in the brush. When most writers refer to the brush generally they refer to Northern Tier states and whitetail deer. Brush however covers a good deal of the Country. Brush is defined as bushes and young trees densely packed in a particular geographic area. For this topic I am going to stick with Northern states as their topography is covered with more brushy areas on average.
