Around Oswego WBUC – The Water Street Cafe
The Water Street Cafe is a new addition to the Old City Hall Tavern serving up delicious pub fare. Old City Hall has quite a significant location and rich history to Oswego. Old City Hall earned it’s name through the building serving as Oswego’s City Hall. Currently open mic night is hosted in the pub which is a great attraction for the whole town. Chamber Spotlight: Lake Ontario Antiques and Creative Designs
Some of the best things in life happen by chance. At least, that’s how the owners of Lake Ontario Antiques and Creative Designs feel. Lisa Shaw, Rosalie Frataccia and David Granoff say they came together by chance at a great time, allowing them to make their antique store vision become reality. Shaw, owner of Oswego Tea Company and Golden Gate Bridal, was interviewing Frataccia for a part-time position at her restaurant when their ideas came together and their vision began.

Half-Shire Historical Society News – April 24, 2015
As reported in the last column, we received delivery of our new oversized bed scanner and began working on projects. The scanner cost was advanced by a friend of the society while we await word on a grant we have applied for to cover the cost. Kevin Stewart spent the week of April 13 working from the John Ben Snow Room at the Snow Memorial Building in Pulaski, scanning the 600-page Pulaski cemetery ledger book. By the time this column appears on the 24th, the book will be finished.

Half-Shire Historical Society News – April 17, 2015
The winter and spring have seen quiet a great deal of activity at the society headquarters in Richland as we have continued work on the new research room on the main floor. We expect to be ready to move things in there by April 24. Painting should begin by April 20 and when we meet on April 25 I am hopeful this long project will be at a point of completion.
