The Cayuga Community College Fulton Campus Tutor Club will host a Toy Drive to benefit the Children’s Fund Program, a 30-year-old charitable organization helping children of Oswego County have a wonderful holiday season.
Through December 9, the Tutor Club will collect unwrapped toys at the Fulton Campus, 806 W. Broadway St., Fulton. Community members are welcome to pick up a copy of a list of suggested toys, which are available next to the drop-boxes on the Fulton Campus.
“We wanted to do something that none of the other clubs on campus were doing,” said Barbara Mota, Fulton Tutor Club public relations representative. “This seemed to be a great fit for our club, and we are just hoping that people will be in the holiday spirit and donate.”
All donated toys will be given to the Children’s Fund, which will then provide an opportunity for low-income parents to select toys for their children.
Community members can also make financial contributions to the organization. Please make checks payable to Children’s Fund, or contact Will Thomas at 315-466-6142, Dawn Varney at 315-489-8157, or Staci Beechner at 315-409-3875.
“Together, we can help ensure that all children in Oswego County have the opportunity to experience the magic associated with the season,” Thomas said.
