BURLINGTON, VT – In August, Champlain College welcomed one of its largest classes to its Burlington, Vt. campus.
Maggie Cooper of West Monroe, NY. Cooper is majoring in International Business.
Monica Wilson of Oswego, NY. Wilson is majoring in Criminal Justice.
New this year at Champlain College is the Center for Communication and Creative Media.This 42,000 square foot addition to the Hauke Center and Alumni Auditorium is located at the center of campus.
The building houses faculty offices and classrooms, video game and graphic design labs, a drawing studio, sound studios, a filmmaking and broadcast media production stage, an art gallery and exhibit areas, and a collaborative media hub. It also includes the campus store, dining facilities, an event center and commuter lounge.
A grand opening of the facility will be held Sept. 26 during Family Weekend.
Since 1878, Champlain College has provided career-focused education to students from its hilltop campus in Burlington, Vt. Champlain’s distinctive educational approach embodies the notion that true learning only occurs when information and experience come together to create knowledge.
