FULTON – A new and fun event for the whole family-A Chili Cook-Off, coming March 25, at New Beginnings Christian Life Church, 301 Beech St., in the parking lot.
It is a contest to see who can make the best chili in all of Fulton, so get your best chili recipes and get ready to go up against others to be the best.
Contestants can begin to set up their stations at 10 a.m.
You must bring your own ingredients, utensils, pots, and something to cook on.
There will be no electricity provided.
The prep work can be done at home, but the final putting it all together must be on site.
Judging will begin at 3 p.m. with three impartial judges, names will be announced at a later date.
After judging, everybody can taste the different chilies, with cups and bowls and eating utensils provided.
Samples of chilies are free, cups and bowls of chili for a very small fee.
There will be a first prize, the winner will get one half of all entrance fees, and bragging rights to the best chili in town.
There will also be a 50/50 drawing, silent auctions, kids bike raffles, and baked goods for sale.
Fun and games for the kids, and activities for the whole family.
The entrance fee for the contestants is $20 advanced registration by March 15 or $25 day of event.
