Community Service was Spring Break Destination for Ithaca College Students


ITHACA, NY — 39 Ithaca College students participated in the college’s Alternative Spring Break program.

Morgan Allen of Oswego traveled to Outer Banks, N.C., to work with the North Carolina Coastal Federation in the upper Outer Banks region on coastal preservation projects, including coastal cleanups and reef restoration.

Timothy Conners of Fulton traveled to Salamanca, N.Y., to assist the staff of the Salamanca Youth Center with academic tutoring and with program activity design and implementation, along with maintenance projects such as painting and making minor repairs.

From day one, Ithaca College prepares students for success through hands-on experience with internships, research and study abroad.

Its integrative curriculum builds bridges across disciplines and uniquely blends liberal arts and professional study.

Located in New York’s Finger Lakes region, the College is home to 6,100 undergraduate and 460 graduate students.
