Community Support Appreciated

OSWEGO, NY – The collaboration of agencies that developed the “Playing 4 Poverty” Food Aid Concert for Oswego County would like to thank everyone who helped make the second annual event a huge success.

Our hats are off to the local bands: Rubber Ducky Revenge, Magical Mystery Tour and HellFish, that cared enough about the project to donate their time.

Not to be forgotten are the community members who attended the event and generously supported the efforts by donating canned food items and gave monetary donations.

Thanks to your efforts – food pantries throughout the county will have more food to offer our hungry families this season.

We especially want to thank the many businesses who donated their products and services to the event including:

Show How You Roll Customs, Oswego Elks Club, Fulton Lion’s Club, Fulton Noontime & Sunrise Rotary clubs, Fulton VFW, Arena’s Eis House Restaurant, Aunt Mary’s Cookies & Catering, Mimi’s, Bill Fisher Signs, The Mustard Seed, Canale’s Restaurant, None of Your Beeswax, Dial for Wings, OCO, Inc., Fidelis Health Care, United Health Care,

And, AmeriChoice, OCO Facilitated Enrollment, Fulton YMCA, Harbor Towne Gifts, Huhtamaki, Oswego County Traffic Safety Board, Jimmy B’s, The Irish Shoppe, Rudy’s, Lakeview Lanes, Rural Migrant Ministries, Lighthouse Lanes, Red Baron, Salon 115, Oswego Tea Company, Sav-A-Lot, Ontario Orchards, PayLess Shoes, Simply Sweet Boutique, and All In One Fitness & Beauty.

The Playing 4 Poverty Coalition of Agencies applauds the generous support of these local businesses.

The event would not have been as successful without the help of these businesses.

The canned food donations have been distributed throughout local food pantries in the county and the monetary donations are being donated to the Food Bank of Central New York, to further assist those food pantries in Oswego County.

Thanks again to the following agencies that worked diligently for several months to plan the day-long concert event:

ARISE, Oswego County Catholic Charities, Oswego County Rural and Migrant Ministries, The Council of Churches, OCO, Inc., Fulton YMCA, AmeriCorps Program, and the City of Fulton Recreation Department.

The event organizers are already looking forward to next year’s event and will strive to make it bigger and better!

Sincerely,
The Playing 4 Poverty Collaboration
