FULTON, NY – Area food pantries will soon be benefiting from the results of the second annual Playing for Poverty, A Food Aid Concert for Oswego County.

Held Sept. 12 in Fulton, Playing for Poverty, which was hosted by a coalition of human services agencies including: ARISE, Bridges out of Poverty, Catholic Charities of Oswego County, COACH (County of Oswego Advocates Challenging Homelessness), the Council of Churches, Fulton Family YMCA / ACT for Youth – Youth Coalition, Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. and AmeriCorps, raised more than $1,400 to help fight hunger in Oswego County.

The money was donated to the Food Bank of Central New York and will be used to help stock the shelves of agency food pantries throughout Oswego County.
