12th Annual Lions Loot Sweepstakes Moved To April 2015

The Fulton Lions Club’s 12th annual “Lions Loot” sweepstakes has been moved to April 19, 2015, announced by club President Gail Holmes.

The event has traditionally been in November and the change in date is due, in part, to how closely Lions Loot has fallen to the club’s September Duck Derby, Holmes said.

The event drawings are scheduled for 1 p.m. April 19, 2015 at the Fulton Polish Home.

First prize is $10,000 and total prizes are $30,000.

“There will be two early bird drawings again this year,” said Holmes.

Five names will be drawn for $100 each from all applications received. The first was drawn at this year’s annual Duck Derby. The second drawing will be at the January 2015 board meeting will be for five more $100 prizes for all applications received by Dec. 31, 2014.

Ticket holders enjoy food, drink, 50/50 raffles and entertainment while awaiting the big prize drawings at The Fulton Lions Club’s 2012 “Lions Loot” sweepstakes. “Our goal is to sell all 1,000 tickets by April,” Holmes said. “This provides a wonderful opportunity to use Lions Loot tickets as Christmas gifts. I know I’d like to have someone give me a chance to win $10,000.

“Support for this event helps the Fulton Lions Club provide many Fulton area residents with eye examinations, eyeglasses, and hearing aids. Donations for each ticket are still $50 for adults aged 18 or older. More than one name may be on a ticket and requests for a special number will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“Every ticket sold will be in the drum for every drawing, you do not need to be present to win, and you can win more than once,” Holmes explained. “Taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

“Each ticket purchased allows two adults to attend the drawing and enjoy food, drink, and entertainment the day of the drawing. To give yourself the best chance of reserving your lucky numbers and winning an Early Bird drawing, we urge you to return your applications as soon as possible.”
