A generous donation of a grand piano will ensure music fills the air at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego, for some time to come.

Beautiful in its own right, the grand piano will not be merely a decorative piece.

“The grand piano – made by Baldwin, is a welcome addition to St. Luke and will bring the joy of music to our residents for years to come,” said Donna Rose, Director of Activities. “We hold numerous programs and host entertainers regularly; the ability to have this fine musical instrument available to play is a wonderful addition to our resident’s home.”

The piano was a gift from Melanie Trexler. “When deciding on a new home for the grand piano, I wanted to make sure it would be a useful addition,” said Trexler. “St. Luke was an easy decision; I know the piano will be well cared for and appreciated by all those who are able to enjoy its music.”

The piano will be housed in the Riverview Room, which hosts many of the larger programs at St. Luke and has a beautiful view overlooking the Oswego River and Falls. “Our thanks go to Ms. Trexler, for her thoughtfulness and generosity that she has extended to those we serve,” said Rose. “Her gift of music will touch the lives of those we serve in the community, both today and tomorrow.”
