The Whalemobile delights Oswego County children with a life-sized whale and ocean-themed fun.
(Oswego, New York) – On Wednesday, July 23rd, the Oswego Public Library hosted “A Whale of a Day,” featuring an unforgettable visit from the Whalemobile and its life-sized inflatable whale! Families from across Oswego County gathered at the library for an ocean-themed experience that was both fun and educational.
Children were invited inside the whale structure to learn all about these gentle giants of the sea. Upstairs in the children’s room, the excitement continued with plenty of crafts and activities for all ages to enjoy. Participants also received free stickers to decorate their reusable water bottles, to encourage reducing plastic waste and protect marine environments.
This fantastic day wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of the Oswego County Youth Bureau and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, whose grant funding helped bring the Whalemobile to our community. We extend our thanks for helping to create a meaningful, hands-on learning experience for Oswego’s youth.
“A Whale of a Day” was a tremendous success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation from local families and the hard work of our library staff and volunteers. To learn more about the Whalemobile and its mission to educate and inspire, visit https://thewhalemobile.com.
