Absentee Voters Will Receive Separate Ballot for Congressional Race

OSWEGO – People who vote by absentee ballot in the Nov. 3 General Election will receive a separate ballot for the 23rd Congressional District election for Congressman, Oswego County Election Commissioners William Scriber and Donald Wart announced today.

Governor David Paterson has set the special election for the 23rd Congressional seat for Nov. 3. However, the official announcement came after the absentee ballots had been finalized and the district race is not included on local absentee ballots.

“Those who have registered to vote by absentee ballot will receive a separate ballot for the 23rd Congressional District race,” said Commissioner William Scriber. “We want everyone to know that they will have an opportunity to vote if they have applied to vote by absentee ballot.”
