By Samantha Flavell

OSWEGO – Oswego State will welcome a globally accomplished jazz drummer, Matt Wilson, to preform with Matt Wilson Quartet in Ke-Nekt concert on Nov. 29.

Ke-Nekt is a part of a Chamber Music Series.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Sheldon ballroom, though there will be a pre-concert talk at 7 p.m.

The Matt Wilson Quartet is part of the seven-concert series that is being held to commemorate the concert series seventh season.

Matt Wilson Quartet began in 1996 and has continued to thrive since.

The quartet over its 21 years has sustained “the same energy, spirit and amazing musicianship they have shown for decades,” said Eric Schmidt, Oswego State Music faculty member and host of the event on the 29.

Tickets will be for sale at all of Oswego State’s box offices as well as online for $15 and $5 for students.

“We’ve had a special relationship with Matt for a couple of decades,” Schmitz said. “This is an opportunity to share with SUNY Oswego students the extraordinary privilege I first had as an undergraduate.”
