Adrian Povick told the club how they could chose the electric energy provider and save money.

In 1996, the New York State Public service Commission began to deregulate the state energy industry, opening it to competition.

Today, local utilities are required to let customers choose their own energy service company.

The local utility continues to deliver electricity and natural gas to homes and businesses.
