Hundreds in the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District attended the Altmar Elementary School (AES) Annual Open House held on the evening of September 29th.
Students and their family members met in the gymnasium where they were welcomed by AES Principal Denise Penoyer who introduced every faculty and staff member from the school to those in the audience. “I won’t keep you long,” Penoyer said, “Because I know what you really want to see is out in the hallways and in the classrooms.” Penoyer encouraged those attending to look for the “hopes and dreams” cards posted throughout the building that students and their parents filled out featuring their goal for the school year.
Parents and family members then visited the classrooms and looked at the many displays featuring student work in various locations around the school. Those attending also had an opportunity to visit the book fair which was open for the evening.
