Amber Scruton – Musician Of The Month For January

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego High School Bands’ “Musician of the Month” for January 2010 is Amber Scruton.

Amber is a senior clarinetist in the Oswego High School Wind Ensemble, plays tenor sax in the Concert Band, Jazz Band “A” and Jazz Band “B” as well as clarinet in the Symphonic Band.

She has been a long-standing member of the Marching Buccaneers, and in 2009 was featured as the Drum Major.

Amber volunteers a considerable amount of her time in the Music Department each day organizing, filing and maintaining the music library and surrounds in preparation for her career as a music educator.

Academically, Amber has earned Highest Honors status each of her years at OHS.

In addition to her involvement in music, Amber dances with Norma Broderick, and has volunteered for the American Cancer Society “Relay for Life.”
