Amyloidosis Support Group To Meet In April

ROCHESTER, NY – The Amyloidosis Support Group will meet on April 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The meeting is open to those living in the Upstate NY area: Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Utica.

It will be held in Rochester General Hospital’s Weiner Conference Room (ground floor), 1425 Portland Ave., Rochester.

Amyloidosis is a life-threatening rare disease often misdiagnosed and under diagnosed.

Raising awareness is important to both the public and medical communities.

The guest speaker for the April meeting will be Dr. Jeffery Zonder – hematologist at Karmanos – Chicago.

A complimentary light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Patients, caregivers, family and interested medical staff are welcome to attend.
