OSWEGO—The 10th Annual Irish Out Run Autism will once again kick off the day of Irish celebrations in Oswego. Bundle up for an early 9:00 a. m. 5k walk/run on Saturday, March 8, the morning of the Oswego St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Parade.
“The event will take place rain, snow, or shine, and we hope that particpants are geared up for a day of community fun with the St. Patrick’s Day parade later that day hosted by the Oswego Hibernians Club,” noted Race Director, Julie Chetney,
The Press Box has once again joined the event as the host site, opening their doors pre-and post-race to warm up and gather for food and drink, including complimentary coffee. With the same route as years past, beginning and ending at 29 East First Street, the 5k will benefit the Oswego County Autism Task Force and scholarships for Oswego County students on the Autism spectrum.
The run/walk will take participants through Oswego’s East side, scenic Fort Ontario area beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 8th. The Oswego County Autism Task Force who provides Autism Awareness and creates possibilities for those touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder in Oswego County. Registration is open until March 6 at noon.
