OSWEGO COUNTY – One of the Village!s most notable landmarks is poised to reclaim its place at the heart of Main Street in the Village of Mexico. The long-antici-pated revitalization of Beck!s Hotel is officially underway, supported by $1,836,000 in funding from New York State Empire State Development. This transformative project will restore the his-toric building!s original grandeur while adapting it for modern use, featuring a first-floor restau-rant with updated living units above.
The redevelopment will reestablish Beck!s Hotel as a cornerstone of downtown Mexico, infusing the community with new energy while stimulating economic growth. Once complete, the revital-ized cornerstone building will strengthen the Village!s identity as a vibrant destination, attract visitors to local businesses, drive investment and job creation, support long-term revitalization efforts, and preserve the historic character and cultural significance of this beloved landmark.
Bidding is now open for qualified contractors for the following scopes of work: structural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire sprinkler systems.
