FULTON – The biggest, fastest and most powerful vehicles will be on display as Big Truck Day returns to Fulton’s War Memorial and Recreation Park area Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., rain or shine. Big Truck Day 4, sponsored by Gypsum Express, is free of charge. Big Truck Day was named the Special Event of the Year in 2022 by the New York State Parks and Recreation Society.
The event lines Corporal Barrett Drive along Lake Neatahwanta with mighty vehicles of all kinds – huge dump trucks, fire trucks, speedy race cars and much more. Participants will be able to interact with and climb on approximately 60 vehicles. There will be face painting and other free activities for young people. A special Sensory Hour, with all lights and sirens turned off, takes place from 10 – 11 a.m.
“Big Truck Day is a great family outing. Young people love to climb into a huge vehicle, sit behind the wheel and imagine themselves driving one someday. It’s a fun day filled with many amazing sights and I encourage everyone to make plans to come,” said Chris Waldron, Special Events committee member and City of Fulton Parks and Recreation Director.
