OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) hosts its seventh annual senior picnic on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Camp Zerbe, located at 253 NYS Rte. 104 in Williamstown.
It is open and free to any Oswego County senior aged 60 or older. Reservations are required, as seats are limited. To reserve a spot, call the OFA at 315-349-3484 by Friday, Aug. 8.
“We’re excited to continue our annual tradition of hosting a senior picnic,” said OFA Director Sara Sunday. “It’s important to recognize our older adults, as they do so much for our communities. The picnic is a great opportunity for seniors to connect with each other and enjoy an afternoon of fun! We encourage any seniors interested to sign up today.”
The day’s events begin with an opening welcome with coffee and donuts, followed by a recognition of the 2025 Senior of the Year, Barbara Dix. There will also be rounds of bingo with prizes, self-guided nature walks, door prizes, and musical entertainment by Sam Domicolo.
The picnic lunch includes a hot dog on a bun, pasta salad, chips, a cupcake and water.
