OSWEGO – Learn how to be prepared for an emergency or other disaster with a New York State Citizens Preparedness event. The free session begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the Oswego Elks Lodge, located at 132 W. Fifth St. The training course is open to the public, and each family that attends will receive one free preparedness kit.
Topics will cover what families should have on-hand to handle any type of disaster, as well as how to respond to and quickly recover from emergencies. Participants will learn about developing a family emergency plan and what supplies to include in their disaster supplies kit.
