Free PGA Golf Academy for Veterans Begins May 15

OSWEGO COUNTY – PGA Hope offers free golf instruction classes for veterans starting on Wednesday, May 15. The seven-week introductory series runs from noon to 2 p.m. every Wednesday through June 26 at the Oswego Country Club, 610 W. First St., Oswego. 

Sessions are taught by local PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) professionals with assistance from trained volunteers. Equipment, training aids, range balls and golf course access are all included.

PGA Hope is the flagship military program of PGA Reach, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. It introduces veterans to the sport of golf to enhance their mental, social, physical and emotional well-being. PGA Hope is to all veterans, including disabled or non-disabled, active military and Reserves or National Guard.
