OSWEGO COUNTY – Free transportation to the Fulton, Oswego and Pulaski farmers’ markets is now available courtesy of the Oswego County Department of Mobility Management. Farmers’ market transportation will continue through Sept. 6 for Pulaski, Oct. 10 for Oswego and Oct. 12 for Fulton.
The Fulton Farmers’ Market runs from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Transportation to the Fulton market is through fixed Centro bus routes, so bus passes to cover the fare will be distributed, courtesy of Oswego County. Residents should check with building management to obtain their free bus pass.
Centro buses will stop at the following locations around the city:
- Fulton Mills Apartments, 265 W. First St. South
- Oak Street Apartments, 205 Oak St.
- Pathfinder Courts: Emery/Gilbert Grove Apartments, 1100 Emery St.
- The Maples, 453 Park St.
The Oswego Farmers’ Market is held on Thursday evenings from 4 to 8 p.m. Two Oswego County Public Transit buses will provide transportation from both the east and west sides of the city.
Buses on the East Route will stop at:
- Hillcrest East Mobile Home Park, 5350 NYS Rte. 104
- Hilltop Mobile Home Park, 956 Middle Rd.
- Champlain Commons, 6 Samuel Way
- Shadowbrook Senior Housing, 21 Shady Lane
- Simeon-Dewitt Apartments, 150 E. First St.
Stops on the West Route include:
- Minetto Senior Housing, 12 Schuyler St., Minetto
- Luke Apartments, 131 W. First St.
- Sunset RV Park, 61 Co. Rte. 89
- Morningstar Residential Center, 17 Sunrise Terrace
- The Gardens by Morningstar, 132 Ellen St.
Residents of Towpath Towers in Fulton can also get a free ride to the Oswego Farmers’ Market. This special route is run by Centro and will make multiple round trips. Towpath residents should check with building management to obtain their free bus pass, courtesy of Oswego County.
The Pulaski Farmers’ Market runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Fridays.
The Oswego County Public Transit bus will stop at the following locations around the Pulaski area:
- Selkirk Landing, 96 Bella Rd.
- Town & Country Mobile Home Park, 3839 NYS Rte. 13
- Driftwood Motel, 5240 U.S. Rte. 11
- Springbrook Apartments, 4920 N. Jefferson St.
- Port Lodge Motel, 7351 NYS Rte. 3
- Nolan Apartments, 41 Nolan Dr.
Designated pick-up and drop-off spots for each location will be marked with “Farmers’ Market Free Shuttle” signs. Larger facilities will have two to three spots for easier accessibility.
