Fulton Public Library Invites the Community to ‘Color Our World’ This Summer

FULTON – The Fulton Public Library is thrilled to announce its 2025 Summer Reading Program, “Color Our World,” a vibrant celebration of imagination, creativity and the joy of reading. Beginning July 1, readers of all ages are invited to sign up, track their reading, and take part in a kaleidoscope of free events designed to spark curiosity and brighten summer days.

‘“Color Our World’ isn’t just about books—it’s about community, creativity and connection,” said Fulton Public Library Director Caroline Chatterton. “Whether you’re painting a sugar cookie or crafting a lava lamp, every activity adds a little more color to our world.”

The program begins with a magical start at the kickoff party with Jeff the Magic Man on July 1 at 3:30 p.m., followed by a full summer calendar bursting with colorful experiences—from tie dye and spin art to cookie painting, rock art and DIY science experiments.

Special events include:

  • G&G Animals Live Animal Show (August)
  • Children’s Author Visit with The Write Kellys
  • Disney Princess Storytime & Sing-Along
  • Teen-Only Tie Dye and Guacamole Making
  • Adult Author Visit: Carol Pouliot
  • Books on Tap at Junco Brewery
  • Color Fun Run 3K

With programming for children, teens and adults, there’s something for everyone—from classic movie nights in the park to hands-on art workshops, trivia nights and live music. The program concludes with an end-of-summer ice cream social on Aug. 7.

Registration is available now, and reading logs open July 1. For more information or to register, visit the Fulton Public Library’s website at https://fultonpubliclibrary.org/.
