OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management announces it will offer free round-trip transportation to the Oswego County Fair. Transportation will be provided from July 2-6 from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“We’re happy to once again offer free transportation to the Oswego County Fair,” said Oswego County Mobility Management Director Heather Snow. “This year’s transportation service is curb-to-curb, offering residents direct rides between their home and the fairgrounds. This ensures that anyone interested in going to the fair can easily get there, regardless of where they live in the county.”
Teresa Stowell-Hollis, junior vice president of the Oswego County Fair, added, “We’re thrilled to partner with Oswego County Mobility Management so residents have access to free round-trip transportation to the fair. One of our goals this year is to increase youth attendance, and we have some exciting new activities and initiatives to help get kids interested.”
“Each day, we will be giving out vouchers to the first 100 youth in attendance aged under 18 for fair rides, food and souvenirs,” Stowell-Hollis continued. “We hope that these additions will help enhance youth participation and appreciation of agriculture and domestic arts, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the 166th annual Oswego County Fair!”
Other new additions to this year’s fair include the “Bucket of Junk” contest in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County, as well as prizes for the talent show and scavenger hunt.
